X3 Elite Bar System- I Cancelled My Gym Membership

If you are seriously considering having a set of workout equipment that saves you time and money (long term) and most importantly, effective in getting results, the X3 Elite Bar System is the one for you. Read on my review and also watch my video review after using the system more than 6 months.



I stumbled upon this book, ‘Weight Lifting Is A Waste Of Time’ by Dr John Jaquish. The title itself is pretty controversial, right? We also think that to be muscular and strong, we have to lift a ton of weight in the gym. However, the research done by Dr John suggested otherwise. If you are interested, I highly recommend that you get this book.


In the book, Dr Jaquish mentioned a set of training equipment that he developed. It is the X3 bar and the workout comprises of resistance training with different level of resistance bands.


I googled for the reviews and watched some YouTube videos.


The workout looks manageable and I like the fact that it takes about 15 minutes to complete the workout. The reviews by the users are mostly positive and many of them posted their before and after photos after using X3.


The price of the whole package is USD$549. Wow, it is worth about 9 months of my current gym membership. I tried searching in Amazon for cheaper alternatives. There were many resistance bands training kit selling at a fractional cost of the X3 bar. I was tempted to get those cheaper products but deep down I know I will regret the decision.

So, I ordered it after some serious considerations. I cancelled my gym membership because I want to be fully committed to the X3 training programme. I believed over the long term, this is a great investment.


It came in October 2020 after about 2 weeks of waiting. The quality of the elite bar, ground plate and the bands are top notch. They are definitely not the cheap stuff that you see in supermarket.


The training kit came with a 12-week training programme. Basically, it is one day of 4 pushing exercises and one day of 4 pulling exercises. There are videos explaining how to do these exercises so it was easy to learn and implement.


At the time of writing this post, I have completed 8 weeks of exercises. I did not miss any session and I look forward to training every day. (If you don’t have 15 minutes for yourself, you really have to look at your productivity).


My favourite exercises are the deadlift and front squat. My weakest exercise is the overhead press but I am making good progress. The great thing about doing X3 is that I don’t feel any joint pain after the workout and my muscles are fully pumped.

I feel stronger, fitter and leaner after 8 weeks. Yes!

I am really serious with this set of equipment. I think it is probably one of the best sporting equipment in the world this is one of my best investments so far.
