Fortagen Protein Review| The Best Protein Supplement?

Updated: Oct 20, 2021

Protein supplements have dominated the personal fitness market for a long time. You need protein to build muscle, and unless you want to spend a lot of money on groceries every week, you'll need a supplement.

What they don't tell you is that protein supplements are only as effective as the amino acid composition. It's also the #1 reason why your protein powder might not be working for you. It emerges that there is actual science behind how our bodies absorb protein.

Researchers have found that all living organisms share a unique amino acid pattern that permits the optimum digestion and absorption of proteins. If the supplement's amino acids don't match the body's specific demands, as is often the case with supplements, none of the extra protein or building blocks will be absorbed.

When the amounts of amino acids in a supplement are significantly different from what the body really needs, which is often the case with other supplements, most of the protein you consume is broken down and wasted instead of being used to build muscle.

As an X3 Elite bar user, I came across Fortagen-a protein supplement invented by Dr John Jaquish. For those of you who does not know what is the X3 Elite Bar System, I have done a review here.

Through years of research, Dr. Jaquish created a blend of amino acids that’s perfectly optimized for our bodies. The result is Fortagen: the single most efficient protein supplement on the market today, with a net amino acid utilization of 99%.

For example, consider whey. Many people in the fitness industry use whey protein, however, when you consume whey protein, your body utilizes just 18% of it to build muscle. That level of inefficiency is enough to drive anyone crazy.

According to the research, a mere 10g scoop of Fortagen provides as much usable protein for muscle building as a 50g scoop from ordinary protein brands.

Looking at the research and data, I had to try it to believe it.

So I ordered it directly from the website. After about 1 week, FedEX delivered the product right to my doorstep.

I was excited to try immediately. But according to the guidelines, I should consume Fortagen once daily or as needed, preferably 30 minutes before bedtime. The guidelines also state that Fortagen should be consumed more than 30 minutes prior to and more than 2 hours after consuming any other protein.

So I waited till night time, around 9.30 pm.

The instruction given was to mix 1 scoop of Fortagen into 16 oz of water and blend thoroughly. For those who are not familiar with Ounce, 16 oz is about 470ml. The initial stirring will have some white lumps. But after more stirring, the lumps became smaller and eventually disappear. So I would say it mix very well.

Now comes the taste. The smell of the drink was nice. It has a fruit punch smell. The initial taste was like fruit punch. But as it is sugar free, it will leave a slight bitter taste after a while. For me, it was okay because I am used to drinking black coffee without sugar (or in Singapore we call in Kopi-O-kosong) so this taste is acceptable for me. I am not sure about your taste bud.

I liked that Fortagen was sugar-free, fat-free, and vegan. I do intermittent fasting daily and what is great about Fortagen is that it is only 4 calories, so it won't break my fast.

However, what really stunned me was 45 minutes later—or rather, what I didn't notice: no bloating. You don't get that "too full" sensation after drinking your protein shake. I also noticed that it was made in America and came with a quality guarantee so I knew it was a product I could trust.

At the time of publishing this video, I have been using Fortagen for a week. I can't say that my body has any revolutionary changes. I do feel that my workouts feel lighter and more effortless.

Will I continue to spend another SGD$200 to buy another container of Fortagen? I can't say it's an absolutely YES now but I will definitely consider after one or two more weeks of consuming the product. I will keep you updated in a future video or via Twitter.

I believe Fortagen is a good product. If you are into protein supplements, based on the research, I think it is a good choice to replace the whey protein supplement in the market.

However, if you want great results, you have to add on a good training regime, good dieting habits and having good sleep. All these must work hand in hand together if you have to significant changes to your physique.

Let me know in the comment section below if you will consider buying Fortagen to supplement your protein intake. If you are already a Fortagen user, share with us your thoughts about the product.
